Lasting Beauty Journal welcomes pitches that bring a fresh, well-considered angle to beauty, style, ageing, self-image or the culture around appearance. We favour pieces that illuminate a question rather than tell readers what they ought to look like.

What we welcome

Propose essays, explainers, cultural readings, comparisons or reported pieces grounded in suitable sources. Strong ideas have a clear subject, a distinct point of view and room for nuance. We are interested in how beauty ideals change, how style expresses identity and how people make sense of appearance across different contexts.

What makes a strong pitch

Send a short summary of the central question, why it matters to readers and the approach you would take. Include the likely form of the piece and any sources or expertise it would need. Avoid pitches built on miracle claims, appearance shaming, unsupported generalisations or instructions to pursue a particular treatment.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please pitch the idea rather than sending a complete unsolicited manuscript. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may suggest a different angle if there is a strong editorial fit.
