Editorial policy
Lasting Beauty Journal aims to make clear, careful writing about beauty, appearance and culture. We distinguish interpretation from fact, use language that respects readers and correct errors when they come to light.
Accuracy and context
We check factual details against suitable sources before publication and give readers enough context to understand a claim. We avoid presenting personal preference as settled fact, and we take care with broad statements about age, identity, culture and appearance. If the evidence is uncertain or a subject has competing interpretations, we say so.
Independence and conflicts
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to the publication and its readers. Contributors and editors should disclose relationships that could reasonably affect how a subject is presented. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or editorial approval.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or misleading passage, contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the text and make the correction clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or partner-supported material is identified clearly where it appears and kept distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where relevant, we label them so readers can distinguish illustrative imagery from documentary photographs.
Beauty changes; attention makes it last
We look past quick verdicts to consider the stories, choices and changing ideals behind appearance. Beauty can be personal, cultural and wonderfully hard to pin down.
